These are all the pictures we took of the house before we moved in.  If you'd like to see what we've done since, click on the page 1 button at the bottom of the page.

Had to put this picture on the site, as it means so much to us!!!!

On Saturday, we went over to what is going to be our new house.  We met Tom, the guy is who going to take care of the pool for us, so that he could go over the things we need to be aware of.  While we were there, we took a few pictures of the place.   If, as you are reading, you get a bit confused by my description, go to the bottom of the page and you can find the basic floor plan.  Anyway, here they are..

Our new house is located near the corner of Thunderbird and 64th street.  The actual street that we will live on is Sharon, which is one block south of Thunderbird.   The house is on the north side of the street, with the front door facing south.   The neighborhood is full of flat top houses, and is very well kept.  Not too sure what the neighbors are like, but if the look of the surrounding houses is any indication, they should be nice people.  Here is what ours looks like from the street.  We're afraid that the pine tree to the right of the drive way is going to have to go.  That is where the boat is going to be parked.   Also the cactus will be taken out, neither the dogs or Bob like prickly things.  Maybe we'll get lucky and be able to find someone to transplant them rather than just cutting them up and taking them to the dump.

Upon entering from the front door, there is an entry way that is tiled with some really ugly green tile.  That eventually will come out, and Denise will have the chance to pick some really nice tile to redo it in.  As you enter the front door, there is an arch way though which you enter the living room.  We hope to put a pool table in it, and then call it the pool room.  The back side wall has three more arches, two of which have "fences" in them.  Denise says those are coming out too.

These next two pictures are of the hall way that runs through the middle of the house.   In the first, you can see the arch ways that lead into the living room and a bit of one of the fences that have to go.  Denise says that the candle light holders that you can see in these pictures will be gone too.

If you turn right, from where the first hallway picture was taken, you'll enter the family room.  It has saltillo tile and a very nice corner fireplace.   You can barely see the open beams in the celing.

Next to the open family room is the kitchen.  It too, has saltillo tile and all the appliances are black.  Note that the stove top is sunken, next to the counter, and above the built in oven is a microwave/convection oven.  The window looks into the back yard.

Through the door way that you can see in the last picture above, is the dining room.   Not much too it other than it has a chandelier that matches the hallway lights that have to go.  Don't know what the fate of the chandelier will be at this point.   The window also looks out to the back yard.

The master bedroom is off the family room, on the east end of the house.   In one of the pictures below, you can see how the saltillo tile continues from the family room and into the master bath.  The master bedroom has two closets.

The master bath has the same tile.  As you enter from the bedroom, there is a room with a single sink, but a very big counter.  We had hoped for double sinks, and they may be added in the future.  To the left is the shower and toilet.   To the right is a pretty good size walk in closet.

The first room in the "west wing" is Nikki's room.  It is in the front of the house, with windows looking towards the street.  It has a built in desk and two closets, one a walk in.

The guest bedroom also has two closets and the window looks out to the back yard.

The office (or 4th bedroom) is next to Nikki's in the south west corner of the house.  The two narrow widows look out to the front street.  This is the room where spawnfamily.com will reside once all the internet connection stuff is hooked up and the servers are up and running.

The hall bathroom, or Nikki's bath room is across the hall from Nikki's room.  It has a full size tub and double sinks.  The sway lighting has to go.   So does the wood seat, same with the master bath.

The laundry room is next to the bath room.  There is space for the typical washer and dryer, plus room for a standup freezer.  That may be on the shopping list soon.  The door opens onto the patio, that you'll see below.  The floor is an ugly green linoleum tile that will be replaced with the same tile that will be going in the entry way.  Denise is shopping for knee pads now, so that she can redo these floors in comfort.

The garage should house the two trucks nicely.  Were hoping that the stuff we have in the garage now will go in the shed in the back yard, but if not, there is room for some of it to go here.  Denise isn't too happy with the window, so we'll be doing something with it soon.  The door has an opener, and the door is one big piece, rather than smaller pieces that roll up.  The people door opens into the family room.

The pool is a diving pool, it even has diving board.  The pool guy has highly recommended that we replace the filter, so assuming that all goes well with the house, it is on the buy soon list.  We even have it picked out.  Going with a sand filter because the pine trees in the back yard will trash a paper filter.  When the pool guy replaces that, he'll be redoing some of leaking pipes and pool jets.

The patio goes from the family room to the laundry room.  In the second picture, you can see the shed to the right.  It is about 8X8 and will house shelves to store lots of stuff.

The rest of the back yard has lots of growing stuff; pine, palm, lemon, lime, and orange trees.  There are also cactus growing that will come out so the dogs don't get pricked.

Here is where the boat and or Raiders will be stored.

Here is the very basic floor plan.  It obviously isn't to scale, but it should give you a pretty good idea of the lay out of the house.

P.S.  Denise REALLY LOVES the house!
